हमारी जिंदगी में एक खुबसूरत झूठ रूटीन की तरह अपना काम करके चला जाता है जिसे हम अक्सर सच मान लेते हैं। वह है ऊपरवाले से डरना। असल सच तो यह है कि हम उससे डरते ही नहीं है बल्कि डरने का नाटक व पाखंड करते हैं। इसी एक झूठ ने धरती पर धर्म- आस्था के रास्ते इंसानी जज्बात, मानवता- इंसानियत को बेचने ओर खरीदने का सबसे बड़ा कारोबार खड़ा कर दिया। सोचिए विचारिए और मंथन करिए। जब बेईमानी कर रहे होते हैं क्या उस समय ऊपरवाले का डर महसूस होता है। जाहिर है बिल्कुल नहीं। पकड़े जाते ही वह झट याद आता है। ऐश भरी सुविधाओं में जब जीवन जी रहे होते हैं। मजाल उसके बनाए वसूलों पर भी चले । औलाद जब नालायक निकलती है या कारोबार इधर उधर होने लगता है तो एकाएक इसी ऊपर वाले के सामने अपनी किस्मत पर आंसू बहाना शुरू कर देते हैं। सुबह- दोपहर शाम पूजा पाठ अरदास करते हुए अपने धंधे में तमाम तरह की बेईमानी, मिलावट, झूठ, छल कपट करते हैं। उस समय एक पल भी ऊपरवाले के डर का अहसास नहीं होता। असलियत सामने आते ही सुबह शाम उसके दरबार में बचाने की गुहार लगाते नजर आते हैं। बाबू, अधिकारी, नेता, पत्रकार, धर्म गुरु, पुलिस, अधिवक्ता, डॉक्टर्स, शिक्षक समेत वे तमाम किरदार जिसका सार्वजनिक जीवन समाज की बेहतरी के लिए तय किया हुआ है। जब अपने कर्तव्यनिष्ठा के नाम पर तरह तरह का प्रचंड, डर व परेशानी पैदा लूट खसोट करते हैं। उस समय तक ऊपरवाला उनकी जेब में रहता है। जैसे ही उनकी निजी जिंदगी में अलग अलग तरह का संकट आना शुरू होते हैं यहीं ऊपर वाला हर पल उनकी आंखों के सामने दौड़ने लगता है। अगर सच में हम ऊपर वाले से डरते हैँ तो कोर्ट में गीता पर हाथ रखकर झूठी शपथ नहीं लेते। इसलिए यह झूठ का गजब आत्मविश्वास है जो बताने में सफल रहा हम ऊपर वाले से डरते हैं..
